We are grateful for the gift of Our Lady of the Pillar Academy. It has been a place where our children and selves have experienced what is true, good, and beautiful. We have witnessed the faith, hope, and charity of this community in all of our joys and sorrows. It is truly a place that children can be children and live in wonder and awe, building their foundations of learning while growing in virtue.

Our children have been in the Catholic school system for a number of years. We moved our daughter to OLPA this year because she did not have a teacher assigned to her classroom at her old school. Since the move, her attitude about school has changed dramatically. She is now excited to go to class and she sees the value of what she is learning. The break up of the week makes time fly by and the passion of the teachers is contagious. We are thrilled to see her progress in all areas of study and especially at the deepening of her faith. Our usually not-so-athletic girl is joining teams and playing sports at recess. She is thrilled to be apart of the school play and our whole family has been made to feel welcome by the OLPA community. This has been the most wonderful opportunity for our daughter and it has really challenged us to look at private school in a whole new light.
When deciding where to send our son to school, we were not content with the public system. We heard about Pillar through friends and after taking a tour we decided we would commit to enrolling our son for 2 years and if it was as good, true and beautiful as we experienced on our tour, we would stay. Our oldest has been at Pillar for 4 years now with his younger siblings attending as well. The staff’s passion for their faith, the students and classical education is clear. Having confidence in what Pillar has to offer our children is worth every sacrifice.
Teaching at OLPA has bolstered my faith. Being in a faith-filled environment with daily prayer, strong fellowship, and academic professionalism has strengthened me. Building a strong foundation for our youth and ourselves is of utmost importance.
As a grad of OLPA, I can say there is a place for all talents at this school: artistic, athletic, musical, and academic. The staff of Pillar can further all these talents under an umbrella of faith. I enjoyed the close relationships with both students and staff.
When we were married and when our children were baptized we promised that we would “Raise our children according to the teachings of the Catholic Church and the laws of Christ.”
Our Lady of the Pillar Academy plays a vital role in helping us as parents to carry out these important vows, which we will be held accountable for on judgement day.
Our children have been attending OLPA for four years and we are extremely happy with the atmosphere and staff of OLPA.
We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school community. The staff at OLPA focus on not just teaching children, but forming them in the faith. We have seen tremendous growth with each one of our children while being a part of OLPA! The staff truly care about each child’s development and it shows in their dedication and positive attitude each day. Thank God we have this gem so close to home!
